Thousand Island Lake Resort is located on the Cisco Chain of Lakes in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and offers you an ultimate outdoor vacation getaway. Our guests have over 270 miles of shoreline to enjoy along with 15 lakes for fishing, boating, and swimming. It is also a unique area to kayak and canoe for a quiet perspective of the area’s wildlife and beauty.
Thousand Island Lake Resort stays open throughout the winter so snowmobilers will have access to all of the Upper Peninsula’s superior network of snowmobile trails. Unwind in our large sauna after a hard days ride and relax by the fire in your warm cozy Northwoods cabin. For your convenience we also have a heated workshop space with gas. The Watersmeet area also provides over 64 miles of cross-country ski trails in the Sylvania Wilderness Area and Ottawa National Forrest. The same area offers hiking and biking the rest of the year. A great way to enjoy the natural beauty the area is famous for. Camera buffs especially enjoy the fall color that burns through the northern woods and the many cascading waterfalls close by. So bring along your camera and make yourself at home with us in Upper Michigan’s Northwoods.
